| This chinese ink painting on rice
paper was badly damaged by removal porters. Previous restoration work
had been carried out including relining. The owner requested that
the painting be made more durable, hence it was relined on paper and
linen canvas. Cracks and holes were filled with an acrylic gel filler
and some gesso stopping. Ground tempera pigments were used for retouching. |
